When two sonic worlds meet that at first glance seem to have little in common, yet harmonize perfectly for precisely that reason, something special is in the air: The Mostviertler Birnbeitler meet the high-energy trio JOYGURU!
The Birnbeitler, known for their finely arranged, deeply rooted brass music with edges, corners, and a strong grounding, encounter JOYGURU’s rhythmically diverse, improvisation-rich soundscapes: saxophonist Herbert Könighofer with his “Two Saxes – One Face” technique, bass-player Tom Hierzberger, and drummer Florian Tuchaček bring jazzy lightness, danceable grooves, and a hearty dose of playfulness.
Together, they tell musical stories – sometimes with a wink, sometimes profound, sometimes danceable – but always surprising and full of life. When the Birnbeitler add their unique blend of tradition, irony, and Mostviertel sonic power, it’s not only going to groove, but will most certainly be… a little mostviertel-ed!
